I think I just need to tell the story to someone who will get it?
by aimless inhi everyone, im new.
i've been feeling a burden on myself for the years that i have been out and i just don't know how to ease it.
i can't talk about the organization or the people in it to anyone... if i try i immediately feel sick and want to close up and just disappear.

Some updates
by Lady Lee inwell i fried my motherboard so no computer access for me for a while.. my jw grandmother died last tues. of course no one told me until the day before the funeral.
my ex-jw aunt thought she would give it a few days to see if my mother would make the call.
and i suspected no one told her dfed son, so i asked mouthy/grace and her daughter to get a message to him.

New family situation, and I'm HOT!!!
by bluesbreaker59 inok, so this morning i get a call from my aunt (active jw), in a panic.
she's telling me about what happened to her this weekend.
apparently my scumbag of an uncle (non-jw, he faded) came home drunk, and pushing her around, raising cane, and apparently hit her a few times.

The secret room at Headquarters that no one knows about
by Homerovah the Almighty inapparently i heard there is a room set aside at headquarters where a gb member can get verbally abused and mentally chastised to their desire.. these are some of the verbal abuses :.

by karter injust got back from the assembly the bookstudy will be part of the ministry school service metting as of 2009. the cost of fuel is 1 reason.
to many elders taking bookstudys time could be better spent on other things.
family heads can now spend more time with there familys.

I don't know if this as been said already and if I missed it I'm sorry.
I was thinking about timing of this announcement.......last week was the "new Light" revealed...do you think
this announcement was convenient so as to change the topic and/or possible research or questioning into
this new light aka Bull$hit?Just a thought.

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 04-27-08 WT Study (YIELDING)
by blondie incomments you will not hear at the 04-27-08 wt study (march 15, 2008, pages 3-7 )(balanced).
review comments will be in red.
q 18. why is a yielding spirit appropriate within the family?
-
Ruth Eeker
Thanks Blondie!
Q 10. Our yielding to Jehovah's authority demonstrates what?
10 Yielding to God's authority demonstrates our trust and confidence in him as our loving Father. He is aware of all that happens and can reward us accordingly. It is helpful to bear that in mind when others do not treat us with respect or they become angry and lose their temper. Paul wrote: "If possible, as far as it depends upon you, be peaceable with all men." Paul punctuated that advice with this directive: "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: 'Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah.' "-Rom.12:18, 19.
Is "yield to God's authority" mean that we must yield to everything the WTS says? Does the WTS = God?
I totally I agree with you and feel this study is totally guilting everyone to remember the obeying the WT means we're pleasing God. Ya, Yield to "God's Authority"
I was talking to a family member who knows I don't go to meetings and they were completely taken aback and quiet when I mention something spiritual...like that I pray..or I know that I rely on God. I want to scream from the rooftops that just because I don't go to meetings doesn't mean I'm displeasing God and have completely given up on my spirituality!!!!!!!!!
I guess what bugs me the most is I can't believe I used to fall for this stuff. OH the clarity of being out.
Thanks Again Blondie!
Love,

A tract from "Christendom"
by Awakened at Gilead inas a faithful and obedient jw, i have always rejected christendom's literature for the trash that i imagined it was..... today as i was getting off the subway a woman was handing out tracts... for the first time in my life i said, what the heck, sure, i'll take one.... i must admit, since i have only been "out" for about 3 weeks, i was trembling somewhat as i opened it (needlessly, a shakeover from jw days).
it was titled "the power of god", and had a very brief introductory paragraph recommeding the imporatnce of getting to know god through the bible.
the rest of the litle tract (48 tiny pages) is only scripture citations.

I too had the same reaction to a "False religion" booklet!
They are WAY better then the Witness Tracts...but of course I can only see that now that I'm out.
Imagine....a group from Christendom actually make literature that cites lots of bible scriptures AND
the bible scriptures actually tie in to the point they're making!!
Ya...that has devil written all over it!! NOT! haha -

Welcome to the best support group you can find.
My spouse and I, as AK-Jeff, left together after we couldn't take pretending any longer after what we had learned.
I say as well read "crisis of Consc." as its an amazingly eye-opening read.I can't imagine how hard it is to have your spouse still in - so a big hug of support there.
You said it perfectly in your in post:
Because I am not an outstanding and zealous brother, we don't get invited to anything in the congregation except for the annual picnic. Other than that, we are summarily ignored because we are "spiritually weak." Spiritually weak in WTBS-speak means that you are not reporting double-digit hours in the ministry and you don't comment in the Watchtower study enough.
Awww the love.....This is totally me too....they treat you like crap because you don't meet their standards but at the same time they hold family and your "friendships" over you.
the Organization is that Roman ship to me. I'm just rowing away angrily. Tell what I believe to be the truth and lose my wife and children? Or live the lie, feel soulless for the most part, but still exist while able to enjoy my children and my wife?
You said it perfect....I don't have children but lost everything else because I opened my mouth with what I believed.
As imprisoning as it is.....I say take comfort in knowing that you are going to be that parent that isn't completely wrapped up in this borg....that will be the sound of reason and compassion. The parent that will still accept your child if they make a mistake and not shun them if they don't agree with the borg.
I wish you lots strength and patience and remember all of us on the board are here for you.Lots of love,
Ruth
